Founded OEIG Investigative Reports
After a completed investigation, if the OEIG determines there is reasonable cause to believe that a violation of law or policy has occurred, it will write a founded summary report that documents:
- The allegations of wrongdoing;
- Facts confirmed by the investigation;
- An analysis of the facts in comparison to the applicable law, rule, or policy; and,
- Findings and recommendations.
The EEC determines whether these summary reports will be made public and is required to make public any report resulting in a suspension of three or more days or termination of an employee. OEIG founded summary reports that have been made publicly available by EEC are set forth in the database below and can be searched or filtered by year or agency.
