Possible online services disruption due to Internet related outage

A worldwide technology outage is causing disruption to some State of Illinois online systems.  We are aware of this issue and are diligently working on restoration.

The OEIG’s online complaint system recently experienced a technical glitch.  As a result, any complaints submitted online between 12:40pm on June 15, 2024 and 10:20am on June 24, 2024, were unfortunately not received by the OEIG.  If you submitted a complaint during this window, please refile your complaint.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

EEC Ethics Act Decisions

If the OEIG makes findings that there has been a violation of the Ethics Act—such as prohibited political activity, retaliation, a gift ban or revolving door violation, or failure to cooperate with an OEIG investigation—in addition to the founded report, the OEIG may also request that the Office of the Attorney General file a complaint before the EEC. If the EEC decides that a violation of the Ethics Act indeed did occur, the EEC may impose an administrative fine or other appropriate injunctive relief. Those EEC decisions, based on OEIG investigations, can be found here.
